Shopmanager (Fulltime)


Do you have the qualities to manage an online shop? Can you convert your knowledge about the E-commerce marketing into concrete actions for our German customers? If so, we are looking for you!

fonQ sells products in the domains of cooking, living and household. The sales are mainly focused on the Dutch market, but fonQ is also active with own webshops in Belgium, Germany and France. Headquarters are located in Utrecht, which is also the place where the international team operates. The shopmanager has end responsibility for the German shop and thus the commercial success of
The German shopmanager completely understands the customer’s perspective and is able to see what improvements are needed to serve the German customer even better. The focus is on monitoring and controlling of key elements of the shop, such as pricing and availability of products. Internal contact with buyers about assortment will also be part of that. In a data-driven manner you decide which action should be taken to boost results. You will come up with quick wins and bigger improvement projects, and will take responsibility for implementation of these elements.

You cooperate with the marketing department to optimize traffic and conversion. You are in contact with the clusters for exchange of knowledge, and will make efforts to integrate this knowledge into the German shop. You will be in touch with customer service and logistics to ensure that the sales process goes smoothly. To keep the website highly relevant for the German customer, you present suited content and campaigns, and will make sure that correct products are translated. Market and competitor analyses are performed by you to estimate fonQ’s current position and detect new possibilities.

  • Finished (University) education in a commercial direction (Marketing/E-commerce)
  • 2 or more years of work experience in retail
  • Knowledge of the German E-commerce market 
  • Excellent German language skills
  • Basic knowledge of online marketing (SEO/SEA/Analytics) and HTML
  • Analytic skills to monitor results of the shop and competitors
  • Coordinating capabilities, commercial mindset, communicative, pleasant to work with
